OCPS FFA Brings Home Top Natonal Honors

FFA Advisors and Supporters, Last week (10/27-10/30), the 94th National FFA Convention was held in Indianapolis, Indiana. With over 55,000 students, teachers and supporters in attendance, the convention was a huge success and our OCPS FFA chapters/students brought home many outstanding national honors. In addition to the top honors above, we had additional OCPS FFA Chapter honors recognized. They are: East River HS FFA- National Meats Evaluation CDE Team Silver Medal Orlando-Colonial HS FFA- National Floriculture CDE Team Silver Medal West Orange HS FFA- National Veterinary Science CDE Team Silver Medal Ocoee HS FFA- National 3 Star Chapter Award Orlando-Colonial HS FFA- National 3 Star Chapter Award Windermere HS FFA- National 2 Star Chapter Award The National FFA Organization presently has a membership of over 735,000 students in over 8,800 local FFA school chapters across the nation. The mission of the FFA is “to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success. The FFA motto is “Learning To Do, Doing To Learn, Earning To Live, Living To Serve”. Congratulations to all of these outstanding FFA students, teachers, FFA chapters, school and community.
