Evans High CTE Visits BEEP in Lake Nona

Yes, Orange County Public Schools CTE students from Evans High School were the first students in the world to tour and explore a new autonomous vehicle to be launched soon. As part of a NAF #STEM initiative, students visited the BEEP headquarters in Lake Nona recently.

They spoke with one of the vehicle’s engineers from Germany, Beep’s cofounder Mark Reid, and several of the company’s directors and team members. The professionals shared their career journeys, advice, and potential job opportunities in the fast-growing field.

It was a marvelous work-based learning experience where these young people asked question after question, engaging with the Beep team.

“We were delighted to have the Evans High School community at the Beep Headquarters. We are committed to inspiring and educating those within our community to create the awareness necessary to continue growing Central Florida’s technology-based jobs. We are building the workforce of the future today by creating and defining roles that never existed. By having the students see the potential of what the future holds, it creates the curiosity required to get into this field.”
