Horizon High School brought students out to the Four Seasons Resort for a FANTASTIC field trip!
Students first listened to multiple guest speakers from different departments on the property, who shared their career journeys, roles, and responsibilities, and offered advice for our young hospitality professionals. They were then broken up into small groups and enjoyed a full property tour.
The group walked the pool and recreation areas, spa, kitchens, and employee areas, saw “backstage” areas, toured the Presidential Suite, and even met Disney characters. They were also treated to an amazing lunch (taco bar!) by the catering department.
This experience follows a classroom visit from the Four Seasons HR assistant director and is part of fostering a partnership with Four Seasons Resort and Horizon’s hospitality and culinary programs.
Four Seasons has offered THREE summer internships exclusively for Horizon students. These will be paid internships that can be tailored to each student and they will be working with the CTE internship coordinator to organize these opportunities.
Also, the catering department at Four Seasons recently raised money and has decided to donate that money to the Horizon Hospitality program! We will use this money to help us purchase uniforms for our future hospitality competitions.
We are excited to continue our relationship with this luxury resort and appreciate their support for Horizon High!
