OCPS FFA Brings Home Top National Honors

Recently, the 95th National FFA Convention was held in Indianapolis, Indiana. With over 69,000 students, teachers, and supporters in attendance, the convention was a huge success, and our OCPS FFA chapters/students brought home many outstanding national honors. 

  • Orlando-Colonial HS FFA- National Livestock Evaluation Career Development Event:  National Gold Medal Team and Reserve Champion Team in the comprehensive written exam.
  • Timber Creek HS FFA- National Veterinary Science Career Development Event:  National Gold Medal Team and 13th place in the nation.
  • West Orange HS FFA- National Silver Medal Team.
  • Apopka HS FFA and Orlando-Colonial HS FFA selected as National 3 Star Chapter Award Ranking

The National FFA Organization presently has a membership of over 800,000 students in over 8,800 local FFA school chapters across the nation. The mission of the FFA is “to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. The FFA motto is “Learning To Do, Doing To Learn, Earning To Live, Living To Serve.”
